#980 When The Perfect Song Comes On During Your Pity Party
You know exaaaactly what I’m talking about. You’re driving. Having a pity party about something, and the most sentimental song pops on to just really let your tear ducts have it. You could have even already been on the path to feeling better and drying those cheeks, or maybe you hadn’t quite gotten to the point of full blown emotion yet, and then you hear a song. One that hits home. Boom, sob-fest. And it’s funny because we feel like the magic radio God’s are feeling sympathy for us in that moment or something. And maybe, for a split second, we feel like the radio is our only friend, which makes us cry harder. Then 3:48 later, Salt N Pepa’s Push It comes on to dry those cheeks up again. And maybe, hopefully make you laugh and start a little in the car dance party true “dancing in the rain style”.
